09/10/2007 - Baltimore, MD (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Coco Crisp's eighth-inning single brought in the go-ahead run as Boston clipped Baltimore, 3-2, in the finale of a four- game set from Camden Yards.

Mike Lowell knocked in two runs for the AL East-leading Red Sox, who took three of four in the series and have won four of their last six. Dustin Pedroia added three hits and scored a run.

Josh Beckett (18-6) allowed seven hits and two runs over seven full innings, fanning eight without walking a batter. The right-hander is 4-1 lifetime against the Orioles, including 4-0 with a 2.05 ERA in four starts in Baltimore.

Chad Bradford (3-7) took the loss, allowing two hits and a run in 1 1/3 frames of relief. O's starter Jeremy Guthrie also gave up seven hits and two runs, over five frames, striking out five and walking a pair.

Melvin Mora and Nick Markakis homered for the Orioles, who have dropped 16 of their last 19 games. The O's lost their 81st game of the season, assuring them of their 10th consecutive non-winning campaign.

J.D. Drew began the eighth with a single, then stole second after a Kevin Youkilis line out. He moved to third on a Jason Varitek flyout, and scored on Crisp's base hit up the middle with two outs to give Boston a 3-2 lead.

Hideki Okajima held the O's in check in the eighth, and Jonathan Papelbon closed the door in the ninth for his 35th save.

In the third, Pedroia singled with two outs and moved to third on a scorching David Ortiz double to right against the shift. Lowell followed with a two-run single to give Boston the lead.

Mora's solo homer in the fourth made it 2-1, then Markakis added another solo shot to tie the game, 2-2 in the sixth.

Game Notes

Boston has won 12 of 18 meetings this season against Baltimore...The Sox have posted a winning season in Baltimore in every season since 1998...Orioles starter Eric Bedard was placed on the 60-day disabled list with a strained right oblique muscle, effectively ending his season...The club also announced that they have purchased the minor league contract of veteran pitcher Victor Zambrano from the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations, and selected his contract from Triple-A Norfolk.
